We felt the need to be sure that we bought everything we need before we lost the mobility of the car, so on Monday we went into a couple of nearby towns looking for some things, such as a toaster and maybe a blender. The selection was very poor and expensive, so we decided to make a final run to Liberia to get everything. Liberia is about 42 miles away and takes over an hour to get there, but we just went for it. Ah, the freedom of a car!
And although I love the ability of going where I want when I want for whatever stupid reason I want, I am at complete peace (for now anyway) with being carless.
I’m looking forward to slowing down and becoming more intentional about the way I use my time.
